Slippage. It happens. Given the resin has dried, it’s time to fill the gap. Researching online, it appears wooden gaps can be filled by:
1. Using Putty in a similar coloured grain – you can get this at your local hardware store.

or

2. Use an old carpenters trick. I like tricks. This trick involves obtaining some saw dust and mixing it with epoxy resin and then dabbing it into the gaps and sanding it back.

so the next question is – where to get saw dust…carpenters or timber yards here we come.
